As You Like It at Writers Theatre in Glencoe, IL

Next up for me is a fun opportunity to both return to the Chicago theatre scene and to re-examine a play that I have known for many years through a new lens: Shaina Taub and Laurie Woolery’s 2022 musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s As You Like It. The show is being produced at Writers Theatre in Glencoe, IL, and is directed by WT’s artistic director, Braden Abraham. I play Oliver, the scheming older brother to Orlando. It’s a really cool adaptation that maintains a lot of Shakespeare’s original text while incorporating a slew of songs that Taub composed to shine contemporary insight on this classic tale.
