Titanic at Court Theatre - Beginning TODAY!!!
In April and May, I was extremely fortunate to go back to work in the theatre, rehearsing and filming Court Theatre’s production of Owen McCafferty’s Titanic (Scenes from the British Wreck Commissioner’s Inquiry, 1912). The play is taken from the transcripts of the court proceedings shortly after the sinking of the RMS Titanic, as the world is trying to understand how and why the ship and so many lives were lost. I play Sir Rufus Isaacs, the British Attorney General, and Charles Joughin, Chief Baker on the Titanic and a survivor of the shipwreck.
It was a joy to be working on a play in person once again, alongside an amazing cast of actors and a dedicated and visionary creative team and crew. I found Titanic to be an extraordinary lens through which to examine what questions we ask in the wake of a disaster, and how we try to use what we’ve been through to prevent and avoid future tragedy.
Due to the pandemic, we did not perform in front of an audience - instead, we filmed the show to be streamed from home, June 14 (TODAY!!!) through July 11, 2021. Learn more about the show and get tickets HERE!!!
