The 2026 Season at Hudson Valley Shakespeare in Garrison, NY!

I am thrilled to be returning to the acting company at Hudson Valley Shakespeare for a second season! Two weeks ago I made the cross-country trek, and rehearsals are already underway for the 2026 plays. This season, I’ll be playing the Duke of Albany in Artistic Director Davis McCallum’s production of Shakespeare’s King Lear, and later in the season I will be in the ensemble of director Jenn Thompson’s staging of the legendary Boublil & Schönberg musical Les Misérables. (More about both of those shows at a later date.) The company will also be producing Shakespeare’s As You Like It, directed by Miriam Laube.

As if the season itself weren’t exciting enough, the REAL buzz around here is this season’s big reveal of the brand new Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center. This beautiful and newly constructed theatre space is the result of a years-long campaign and construction project. It is a permanent home for the company that both evokes Hudson Valley Shakespeare’s historic tent performance space while also projecting the next chapter of its future and the future of the American theatre - all with a truly sensational and singular view overlooking the Hudson River!

I have never before had the opportunity to be among the first artists to inhabit a new theatre. We’re having a great time in the rehearsal hall right now, but I cannot wait to move into the theatre. It’s coming up soon, so make sure to reserve your tickets and be among the first to see it for yourself!
